How to make a daisy chainDaisy chains are super simple to make and super quick. Score!

What you need to make a daisy chain:

  1. Daisies! Duh! You need about 25 daisies or a similar flower. Each stem must be about 8 cm long.
  2. That’s it! You don’t need anything else.

How to make a daisy chain:

Step 1:

Make sure the flowers are all the same length. 10cm is a good length if you want to make a flower crown.

Step 2:

Use your fingernails to make a little slit in the stem of the flower. You can make them just below the flower or in the middle of the stem. If an adult gives you permission and they are around, you can also use a knife. We suggest fingernails, though.

Step 3:

Here’s where the fun begins. Once all the flowers have slits in their stems, you can start weaving. Hold one flower in one hand and another in the other. Take flower number 1 and carefully fill the stem through the slit in the second flower.

Step 4:

Take another flower in place it into the slit in the second flower. Remember to pull the stems tightly.

Step 5:

Repeat step 4 until you’re all out of daisies. Now you have a very long string of beautiful flowers waiting to be transformed into a daisy chain crown.

To finish off, go back to the very first flower and make a second slit in its stem. Please the stem of the last flower in the chain and place it through.

Step 6:

Well, call me Guinevere because I am an ancient queen from a far off land!
